Breaking the silence on the slave trade

October 2021 UK TOur for Black History month

A unique UK tour for Black History Month October 2021 celebrating 18th-century Black British Abolitionists such as Olaudah Equiano and Mary Prince, and women such as Mary Birkett Card, who along with William Wilberforce used the power of their stories to end the slave trade. Through speeches, personal narratives, and song, we tell their stories in their own words. Performing at 8 historic churches across the UK with close ties to the slave trade and abolitionist movement.

Walking into History

Paston Footprints audio walking tours

7 audio walking tours were designed to bring to life the stories of the Pastons in Norwich, Bacton, Paston Village, Blofield, Mannington, Oxnead, and Gresham. Each walk concentrates on difference aspects of the Paston stories found in the 14th to 17th century Paston letters and other archival sources which happened on the walking routes. The letters reveal the challenges and strife associated with a family who transitioned from yeoman to the aristocracy from the end of the Black Death in the 14th century to the ascendency of many families loyal to the Crown after the Civil War in the 17th century.
